Source of the river Nile and the largest freshwater lake in the world at 67,493 sq kms. Lake Victoria is on the Western border of Kenya. Kisumu lies on the north eastern corner of the lake. Lake Victoria provides a boundary between Uganda, Tanzania and Kenya. Kisumu is about 350km from Nairobi and takes a full day to reach.
