Very little is said about cycling in Kenya. It is however an interesting way to see the wildlife. On your bike! This is a good way to get to see the landscapes and meet the people in one simple way.
There are a few cycling expeditions in Kenya which either cross from the coast to the Lake Victoria or if you are following the Mara River, you can head all the way to Tanzania which is to the south of Kenya. Most of these cycling expeditions are organized by private travel and tour companies found in Kenya or abroad.
They are sometimes very long journeys with some rests on the way because you may have a sixteen day cycling adventures where you will get to experience the busy Kenyan roads, the local villages and the traditional tribes in their colourful regalia, the panorama, wildlife at close range and the vast savannah grasslands and woodlands found in Kenya. Many visitors believe that the only way to see the diversity that Kenya has to offer is by road inside a 4WD car but actually, biking is one great way to enjoy some fun time on the great African bush.
